Private schooling has become the prominent provider of education in Kampala. It is estimated that there are 2,282 private schools of all levels, serving 502,040 pupils, with year on year increase in the number of schools averaging over 6%. Since the previous year, this year’s enrolment has increased by nearly 8%. Private schools are serving all levels and account for an estimated 84% of all school enrolments, from the pre-primary level (100%), to the secondary levels
